Fedora vs the Semantic Web

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The semantic web aims at adding semantic (meaning) to the web as we know it today. By adding meaning we start to define the world as we know and we can add inference rules allowing some extents of automatic reasoning.
For Fedora this could mean providing information about all our packages in a computer friendly format making use of the DOAP (Description Of A Project) ontology.
The idea of this talk is to present the semantic web and eventually start brainstorming on where it could be applied in Fedora.
